World War II Letters - 21 February 1945 - Written by Stan Cooper

Sixteen months have passed since the last letter Stan has written to his family. (There may be other times of communication, but not in my possession.) Stan was out on West Pac on the USS Levte from May 1944 to early 1945. Stan is back on the east coast at Camp Peary in Williamsburg, Virginia as he sends a letter to his parents dated 21 February 1945. According to letter details, he was transferred off of the Levte in San Francisco and traversed back to Bainbridge and on to Williamsburg.

He focuses on his studies, emphasizing on English. He is thankful for the two important study books he received from his family.

He is in communication with fellow military buddies who are currently at the Academy filling him in with the details of REAL Academy life. He is challenged to keep to his goal of entering and graduating from the United States Naval Academy of Annapolis, Maryland.
