World War II Letters - mid Aug 1941 - Written by Stan Cooper

Stan is transferred to the Naval Training Station in the Great Lakes, north of Chicago, Illinois, in the end of July 1941. Stan mentions that he missed his younger sister's, Eileen, birthday which is early August.

Love his detailed writing about the train ride across the mid west. He loves Chicago more than New York City! He hates the food here and prefers the provisions back in Newport.
